Officer Iversen promoted to  Sergeant

We are very proud to announce the promotion of Chris Iversen to the rank of Sergeant.

Sgt. Iversen began his career with the Ocean Shores Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer in 1993.  He was hired to a full-time position in January 1997. In his 24 years with the department, Sgt. Iversen has served on the Marine Patrol, Surf Rescue Team, Special Operations Team and Bicycle Patrol. He has also held the positions of Detective, Reserve Officer Coordinator, TASER Instructor, Shop with a Cop Coordinator, and he was a Team Leader on the Surf Rescue Team. 

Sgt. Iversen is very dedicated to the City of Ocean Shores and it’s citizens. During his years of service, Sergeant Iversen has received many letters of appreciation, certificates of commendation, and he has earned four Medals of Merit.

We are excited for his advancement, and we look forward to the things he will continue to achieve within this Department, as well as what he will do for this community he serves.
