Retirement of Sergeant Tony Vierra - Ocean Shores Police Department

The Ocean Shores Police Department would like to announce the retirement of Sergeant Anthony (Tony) Vierra.

Sergeant Vierra came to the City of Ocean Shores from the Fallon Police Department, located in the State of Arizona. Tony spent 8 years there as the Field Training Officer (FTO), Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified Taser Instructor and Defensive tactics Instructor. In addition to these certifications, Tony was the Narcotic Task Force Investigator.

Sergeant Vierra spent the last 6 ½ years with the Ocean Shores Police Department, during which he was influential to the team by bringing all his training and experience to the City of Ocean Shores and added Boating Officer to his list of professional achievements. During his esteemed career with the Ocean Shores Police Department, Tony was a respected leader, trusted colleague, and a reliable friend to all.

Sergeant Vierra worked his final patrol shift with The Ocean Shores Police Department on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Tony will now be spending his time helping run the local family business and enjoying life to the fullest.

Tony’s smile, laugh and ability to do all that he did, will be missed around our department and we are sorry to see him go. We wish him all the happiness and health as he travels down a new path in life.
