Volunteer Assistant Chief Osbourne Retires after 21 Years of Service

During the City Council Meeting held April 11, 2022 the Ocean Shores Fire Chief gave recognition to Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief Ken Osbourne for his 21 years of Service.

Volunteer Assistant Chief Osbourne started his volunteer career with the Ocean Shores Fire Department in December of 2000. He worked his way up in the volunteer ranks as an EMT, Lieutenant and Captain. In 2016 he was promoted to Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief.

During Volunteer Assistant Chief Osbourne’s career he was awarded Firefighter of the Year 3 times and was awarded the Firefighters Association Choice in 2012 and 2015.

Ken Osbourne is a local resident and has been an immense asset to the Ocean Shores Fire Department. He responded to alarms and answered the call for additional manpower at all hours. Numerous of these calls he assisted with involved life saving measures and structure fires throughout the City.

Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief Osbourne’s dedication to the community and Ocean Shores Fire Department has had an incredible impact and we are honored to have had him on our team.
