CITY OF OCEAN SHORES COVID-19 FLEXIBLE PAYMENT PLANS

Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s Proclamation 20-23.16 prohibiting all energy, telecommunications, and water providers in Washington state from conducting disconnects, refusal to reconnect, or charging late fees is set to expire on September 30th, 2021. The City of Ocean Shores is extending this through December 31st, 2021. Penalties and disconnects for Ocean Shores will resume January 1st, 2022.

Customers that have experienced financial hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic and have struggled to pay down balances with the City of Ocean Shores are eligible to apply for Flexible Payment Plans to avoid accruing late fees and having utilities disconnected.

Flexible Payment Plans are only available for balances accrued during the COVID-19 Pandemic starting in March 2020. Customers must apply for a Flexible Payment Plan through the utility billing department.

Customers approved for the Flexible Payment Plan must pay their current utility charges in addition to their agreed upon Payment Plan. Failure to make a payment will make the plan null and void.

Applications are available on www.osgov.com or by request through the billing department by calling 360-289-2487 or emailing utilitybilling@osgov.com.

Rental properties will require the property owner or managers signature upon flexible payment plan application submission to acknowledge a payment plan on the property is in place.
