Taser® Training

On April 12, 2005 our Officers were trained in the proper, safe and effective use of their latest tool for Law Enforcement. This new tool is the X26 Taser® and is designed and manufactured by TASER International, Inc. The final segment of the training was a demonstration of the Taser® on volunteers, yes, many of our Officers volunteered.

To give the public an example of the effectiveness of this new tool we have decided to show samples of the movies taken that rather shocking day in April. Please note that in all but the group Zap, we have two people holding the "target" up to keep them from hurting themselves when they crash to the floor like a piece of lumber.

	We saved the best for last! This group is attached to a probe on each of the outside Officers then they linked arms. Everyone gets the same charge out of it. LAUGH WARNING Please sit down and don't have anything in your mouth when you watch this one!
