SPECIAL OPERATIONS TEAM

 
The Ocean Shores Police Department
Special Operations Team (SOT) consists of nine, specially trained
police officers from within the Ocean Shores Police Department. The
SOT is capable of responding to critical incidents within Ocean Shores
that require a specialized tactical response.

The team consists of a team leader
and an assistant team leader, five entry team members and two hostage
negotiators. The SOT's primary focus is immediate containment of an
incident until the Grays Harbor County SERT arrives. The SOT received
a grant to purchase the initial equipment need for the team. Deputy
Chief Russ Fitts is the Team Leader.
