The Ocean Shores Police Department has partnered with a local chaplain to assist us in our day to day operation. Chaplain Bob Hoem works with us concerning several issues in the community.

He assists us when making death notifications to next of kin

He responds to our surf rescue calls in order to speak to victims or relatives of victims

He is available to counsel any police employee who may need someone to talk to, and

He works close with us as needed during all our community calls for service.

Chaplain Hoem is a great asset to our operation and organization. He volunteers his time to make the police department and community a safer place to live, work, and play. Our sincere gratitude goes out to him!
